What we love?
Embark on a 5-day, 4-night journey through Western Sichuan, where snow peaks, hidden villages, and ancient towns unfold like chapters of living history.
Trek through the valleys of Mount Siguniang, where jagged summits rise above pristine forests, and take in sweeping views of the sacred Gongga and Yala Snow Mountains.
Step into the rhythm of local life—spend a day with nomads learning to make tsampa and butter tea, share a hearty yak meat hotpot in Zhonglu Tibetan Village by the farmlands as a khata is offered in blessing, and hear a traditional toast sung in your honor.
In Tagong Monastery, join a monk to learn ancient Nyingma meditation techniques, and at a sky burial site, reflect on the Tibetan view of life and death.
Along the way, wander through Zhonglu Tibetan Village with its terraced homes and morning smoke, and through Shangli Ancient Town, where stone bridges and riverside lanes still echo the old Tea Horse Road. This not only a journey—it is an submersion into the heart of the Sacred Highlands of Sichuan, where every encounter highlights discovery, serenity, and wonderment.

The full name of Tagong Monastery is “The Monastery of Instant Liberation upon Seeing.” In Tibetan, “Tagong” means “the place loved by the Bodhisattva,” which highlights its religious significance. According to legend, when a life-sized statue of Buddha Shakyamuni arrived at the Tagong Grassland, it expressed great fondness for the place, and thus the monastery was built here
