Travel Insurance

A vital part of your journey

We kindly remind all our guests of the importance of arranging comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking, or at the very latest, before your departure.

Your policy should provide appropriate coverage for your entire trip — including, but not limited to, trip cancellations or delays, emergency medical care (including evacuation or repatriation), lost baggage, travel documents, and personal liability.

Please note that Eastogo is not licensed to sell insurance and we are therefore unable to arrange this on your behalf. We kindly ask that all travelers secure suitable coverage independently. For journeys involving high-altitude or remote regions, such as Tibet, we consider valid insurance to be essential for your safety and peace of mind. Participation in certain itineraries may be contingent on proof of insurance.

Passports & Visas

Ensuring a smooth entry into China

It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure that all members of the group possess valid passports with at least six months’ validity beyond the intended date of departure from China.

While China has recently introduced visa-free entry for certain nationalities, we strongly recommend checking the most up-to-date requirements based on your passport. Visa regulations may vary depending on your itinerary, nationality, and point of entry.

To avoid disruptions, we kindly advise our guests to confirm visa requirements well in advance and allow sufficient time for processing should a visa be necessary.

Important for guests visiting Tibet:
Entry to Tibet requires a Tibet Travel Permit, which must be applied for through a registered local operator and approved by government authorities. This process typically takes 7–14 working days and cannot be expedited once submitted.

As part of our service, Eastogo will assist with the permit application, but please note that independent travel to Tibet is not permitted. We appreciate your understanding and timely cooperation in providing the necessary documents.

Travel Health

Your well-being is our priority

We recommend that all guests consult their physician or a certified travel clinic at least 4 to 6 weeks before departure to receive country-specific health advice and any recommended vaccinations.

If your journey includes high-altitude destinations such as the Tibetan Plateau or the Qinghai highlands, we also suggest discussing altitude sickness prevention with your healthcare provider. Our itineraries are designed to support gradual acclimatisation, but advance preparation is key to your comfort and safety.
